Local band The Crayon Set return to The Cobblestone after a 5 year absence.

The Crayon Set specialise in upbeat, alternative pop using a diverse range of instruments with an array of singers and lots of vocal harmonies. Their sound has been compared to Belle and Sebastian and Arcade Fire.

Their debut album was released in 2013. It was co-produced by Nick Brine (Super Furry Animals, Teenage Fanclub). It received airplay on Today Fm, BBC Radio 6 and 2FM amongst other stations and a number of tracks featured on Irish TV

The band have just released its follow-up called 'Lost Languages'. It was produced by Gavin Glass and it has been described as being “pop music at its glorious best” by The album is in part a homage to many of their favourite 'Americana' artists (such as Wilco,The Flaming Lips, Tom Petty, R.E.M. & Yo La Tengo). A number of tracks have been play-listed on Irish radio stations. awarded it their "Best Irish Album of 2017"

The Crayon Set are an exciting live band and have played many of the top Irish festivals and venues. Their dynamic live shows feature tight vocal harmonies, instrument swapping and occasionally some giant inflatable crayons...
