Bio:
Blaithín Carney has two main loves; Music & English. Her musical journey began as a student of piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music when she was just four years of age. Years later, having graduated from UCD with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Music and English, she returned to the Academy to undertake a Masters in Music Performance.
In 2004 on a trip to Los Angeles, Carney met Sir Paul Holmes (the New Zealand broadcaster, reporter, writer and singer). The two would form a close friendship and collaborate on songs together. It was during this time that she also met renowned vocal coach, Tine Verbeke who contributed significantly to Carney’s development and presence as a vocalist.
